Limited Edition: Mark Neville, 'Boy with Rope' (2016)

'Boy with Rope' was produced exclusively for Child's Play, an exhibition by Mark Neville that took place at the Foundling Museum from 3 February - 30 April 2017.

Neville's 2017 exhibition explored the urge for the re-introduction of a new national play strategy which halts the closing of playgrounds and defends children's rights to play. In late January 2017, Neville's research was disseminated to key policy makers, experts and each of the UK’s 433 local councils, and a symposium on 20 March 2017 explored the issue of spaces for play, looking at the real and imagined barriers to play in our cities, and focusing in particular on the privatisation of space.
